I think I might understand what you mean now...
I did a dry fast for 3days 4 hours last weekend, and after 3 days when I was trying to get to sleep I had a really wierd experience, and for a split second I felt like I was being drawn towards a light, like I would imagine when they say people die they see a light and get drawn towards it.
So that made me think that obviously with fasting you are dying ! and especialy with dry fasting, so is that what you mean by spiritual ?
At the time I didn't have a dry mouth, didn't feel thirsty, didn't have any dry skin but was starting to feel the effects of not having had any water.
A few hours later I decided to break the fast by gradually drinking small sips of water.
Since then I feel great, physically my body has been healed so much !
BUT is this normal ?
SHOULD I be taking things more gradually ? this fast was about 18 hours longer than my previous longest, but was still only 3 days.
should I be building up to longer and longer fast more gradually ??
thanks
Julian (bit scared)
