This is true. There will never be a standard cure because there will never be a common cause. Each person has to figure out their particular cause or set of causes.

There are a multitude of factors that can contribute to yeast overgrowth: Antibiotic use, diet, stress, smoking, drug history, other infections, toxic load, endocrine dysfunction, etc. And yeast overgrowth is really just a single indicator of a disease state, not a disease in itself. Yeast taken from a sick person can be introduced into a healthy person and fail to cause disease. It fails the test of single pathogen disease.

Candida is a "change of state" type syndrome, not a single pathogen disease.

And the conditions that allow yeast overgrowth necessarily allow other overgrowths, bacterial and parasitic.

Just focusing on killing yeast won't cure it. Although it's part of the cure, addressing the underlying causes is essential to recovery.

It's very curable, but you do need to keep your head up, don't let yourself get discouraged, and decide that you're in it for the long haul. Oh, and study your ass off!
