Mother Nature created the egg as a temporal vessel for the developing chick. The egg does not exist for "our" consumption, it is merely our ignorance that suggests and believes otherwise.

It is deemed acceptable to consume a chick, but not a kitten for instance. Where is the difference except in the perverted mind of mass-consensus?
