6.5 is considered to be neutral not acidic. anything below 6.2 is dangerously acidic for long term drinking.

To much alkaline can also be dangerous to your health.

my normal drinking water from the tap, depending on if the water district here is taking it from the watershed in that case it is 7.2. if it comes from their deep wells it is 8.2. to much 8.2 Alkaline Water will give you kidney troubles and Urinary tract infections. Quite common here.

The last batch I made from the LMW4-5 was 6.5. the treated water came out 8.2 While the tap was 7.8. The runoff is alkaline but not the distilled. So on one hand if there was a claim to Alkaline Water being made by JE machine it is in the runoff not the distilled.
