I'm losing patients and thinking about giving up on this treatment. I started using baking soda and coconut oil a little over a week ago and my skin has never looked worse. I dont know if this is the "dieing off effect", or if that even exists, but my dermatitis is extremely inflamed, flaking some, and seems to be showing up in more and more spots. I hope this is a normal reaction when starting this treatment. I'm starting my work week today and this is extremely embarrassing.
I will stop using baking soda as much and I am going to start using it simply as a dilluted wash i leave on my face for a couple minutes in the shower every couple days. I will continue to use the coconut oil in light amounts daily as a moisturizer, always applying to wet skin only.
If anyone has any advice or experience with this i would greatly appreciate it.
