And Dr. Abram Hoffer's research as well. Pfeiffer states that mineral imbalances for instance high copper leads to schizo states and Hoffer refers to using high doses of niacin

I would suggest testing him through traceelements.com (hair analysis) I have seen some beneficial results come through this test for schizophrenic situations (high copper) High copper will suppress zinc and other mineral levels.
