Your lab tests for CD may come back with no elevated autoantibodies or confusing results because you have been avoiding gluten. Better results are gotten if a person consumes a small amount of gluten long enough for the autoantibody level rise to detectable levels. You might want to go to the Celiac.com Forums to ask people there what diet they were put on before testing.
