Hi,

First, I would like to apologize if it is thought that I should not be asking a question about dry fasting in this forum. I know it drives me crazy when people talk about Aspartame fasts or whatever here... I did have a reason for choosing this forum, for what it's worth: I thought that I'd have the best chance here of reaching people who have done dry fasts, because it is often experimented with by experienced water-fasters, sometimes within a waterfast or to start one.

So...my question is for people who have said they've gotten "good results" from dry fasting. Here and there on the Web one can read claims that it helps with the immune system, allergies, candida, but I have yet to really hear that from anyone trustworthy. I wonder whether anyone who has felt that a dry fast has done him or her some good (hopefully, long-lasting good, not good lasting a day or two!) could elaborate on that a bit for me. I am not looking for testimonials about weight loss, about dry fasting as an effective method for making a scale show a drop in pounds!

About a month ago I did a 32-hour dry fast of no efficacy and I am thinking of trying to go (starting tonight, probably) a bit longer than that. I am being driven by the fact that I urinate every few minutes, especially overnight, and the lack of sleep is taking its toll. When I Water Fast or urine fast, this condition does not resolve, even after 15 days of water fasting, and during my short dry fast, I continued to urinate copiously with the same frequency as usual.

I am interested in any testimonial about how dry fasting has helped with candida, allergies, immune system functioning, or something really major like that - on the other hand, I also need to know if anyone feels that dry fasting has made a condition worse than it was before!

I'd be awfully thankful if someone who is pleased with his or her results from dry fasting could go into details about why s/he is so pleased, besides the fact that it can tame hunger during the first few days of a water fast.

Thank you very much,

Rowan
