over here, we routinely open the car door for the ladies when they get in, and out, and of course all other doors, except those on kitchen cupboards. at the x-ray clinic I was lucky to have the opp to open a door last week for a gal who's got s broke arm like me, then gave her my seat. The MD I saw got mad at me later, cuz he wanted to put me under and take my wallet and I din't let him.

In some other locales in the past, when I saw a male open a car door for a female, I figured that either the car was new, or the girlfriend was new, but I don't think like that anymore cuz I'm nicer now. :))
