My mum has a multi-nodular goitre. She tried taking chelated Iodine and potassium Iodide (Iodomarin) about 6-7 years ago.

But she never had any success with it. It seemed like Iodine only stimulated growth of her nodules. So she stopped.
Now I've come across Iodine and all those numerous scientific researches and I'm baffled why it didn't help her.

Well, possibly it was due to a lack of selenium or copper and therefore iodine couldn't be utilised. I told her to start with selenium. We'll see...

I've just started taking Lugol myself a couple of days ago. I don't have any obvious thyroid problems but possibly several symptoms of hypothyroidism. So if it helps I will be very pleased! But I'm afraid it would be very difficult to persuade my mum and dad to start taking iodine (in the Lugol's form) again...
