First day gone great. Couple more and it will be cake..pun intended! LOL
Seriously get two or three behind you and 7 or more is too easy.

Taste in mouth sure you can use mouthwash, bit of juice,
have green tea ,coffee ,diet drink ,diet pop whatever. Some gum. Try to keep calories low Sugar free gum ,etc but you can fast on juice or water just water is fastest for weight loss but you have more energy on juice and can get less dizzyness and fainting feelings.

I don't usually scrap my tongue on these longer fasts. It makes it so if did cheat and sometimes get weak and "taste " something especially near end of the fast.. then if do cheat most food tastes absolutely horrible. Your taste buds fall asleep or maybe just get coated over and it takes a bit and some tongue cleaning before they come back to full again.So mushrooms taste like rubber ,things taste like cardboard,etc suprising most meat still tastes not too bad. Think because for millions of years meat was what we ate after having no food in our stomachs.

So meditate or whatever but keep busy. Clean your house,go for walk, watch dvd movies, play video games ,surf and read old posts on here ,etc and the urge to eat will fade in couple days. After 2 or 3 days you switch over energy from glucogen to ketosis and fat burning. You can get pretty tired at the switchover but things improve after as you adjust to burning fat.

I feel really great now at day 13. Fantastic actuall and today did treadmill for 30 minutes just walking speed but still, will do weights tonite and did lots of heavy shovelling and ice breaking today as well on driveway.
I did drink a monster low carb drink today for bit of extra kick and its 20 calories but whatever. Might even have a clamato juice tonite for bit of extra sodium. All good.
Only solid food will restart your stomach and digestive system not water and not juice. Once you start messing with solid food the hunger will come back pretty strong and those first couple days you can be pretty hungry.

Fasting is easier than low calorie dieting as on low calorie you are constantly fighting hunger. After hunger leaves day 2 or 3 it don't take any willpower at all to keep going. Fact you may have to convince yourself to quit fasting. I usually quit from boredome not hunger. And if you are thin they real hunger will come back sooner than if you fat normally. I could still last a long time at my current wieght of 204 on 5ft 6 inch frame. At least another month maybe even 2.

Fasting works for me. I am down near 60 pounds and its actually been very easy. And it will stay off as know how to keep it off proved it after first fast.
