In the event of massive amounts of radiation, I do not know. If one's thyroid is sufficiently saturated in SSKI , the thyroid will not absorb radioactive iodine. I believe the body would have to be drug/chemical free and have utilized bentonite/charcoal to detoxify the terrain deeply for quite awhile (to remove residual fluoride & bromide, both of which displace iodine) before the thyroid would ever be sufficiently saturated with natural iodine.
Again (in the event of massive amounts of radiation) - I think most people would benefit from utilizing the SSKI beforehand...as well as utilizing Echinacea. If you want to learn more about it, you can ask on the VWT Iodine Forum: //www.curezone.org/forums/f.asp?f=815
or Ask Trapper: //www.curezone.org/forums/f.asp?f=886
I once was VERY familiar and up-to-date on the use of isolated iodine/iodide, but since choosing not to use isolated/fractionated substances, I am totally 'out of the loop' as far as being able to provide solid information.
Personally? It would have to be a VERY large amount of radiation before I'd utilize my bottle of Lugols (1/2 Iodine 1/2 iodide) because it caused me extreme adrenal stress & fatigue. To this day, I can't even tolerate the smell, and if I take only one drop internally - the adverse-reactions are strong & severe. But that's just me.
If you want to get some SSKI (or have questions), I highly recommend Trapper //www.curezone.org/forums/fm.asp?i=1272098#i
as a reliable, trustworthy and VERY reasonably priced source.
Blessings,
Uny
