By motility , in my case , I am talking about constipation right from the small intestine down. I do have constipation in my large intestine. I did a "SHAPES" study that showed this. I"m guessing about my small intestine. And my stomach motility is definitely normal.

I'm getting ready for a trip overseas tomorrow night, but before I go I want to post some information on this whole issue.

In the meantime, has anyone suggested you try 5htp ? Serotonin is very important for moving contents along the gut. 5HTP makes it. Maybe you are low in serotonin. I've been taking 150mg a day and it is definitely helping somewhat.

It's interesting how you say a door gets shut when you push. It also sounds like your muscles that let the material out are not relaxing. I think there are tests that look at this. I can try to help you find them if you want.
