Thank you for your very well stated, informative feedback and sharing your experience. That's what I was looking for. As I've never benefited from experiencing true hunger, as you have and as Shelton had described, you have provided greater insight to what true hunger should feel like.

In looking back at Friday and Saturday, the lump in the back of my throat could be related to my limited water intake throughout the course of those two days. Upon waking this morning (Sunday), the lump in the back of my throat is gone and I'm carefully hydrating by sipping water every 1/2 hour.

With that resolved, I believe I'm still on track for reaching my 40th day.
