This song has been playing like a jukebox in my head every morning lately, calling to me to play this record. I can hear the high backup vocals screaming at me. From the mid 70s, when lots of passionate music was made.

I had a lovely wife then. She came into my life and she gave to me without taking, but I sent her away [like the song "Mandy"]. If I could go back, I'd devote myself to the girl that deserved me more than all the rest. Shame on me for ever comparing her to other women, but back then I felt I had a right to do such things. I selfishly thought the most compatible woman in the world would someday come to me, but she never did. I thought I could throw my marriage promises out the window and never have to pay for it, but I found out otherwise. Thought I knew soooo much, but actually I knew soooo little. I was just a fool.
