looking for evidence that consuming boron will protect the human body from radiation.

There are lots of claims out there on the Internet from people saying that it does. However, I can't find a single scientific studies to support this notion

Does anybody have any actual evidence to suggest that boron consumed in a supplemental form will protect the human body from radiation?

I'm looking for something more than just "well, it works in the sarcophagus that neutralizes a runaway nuclear plants, so it should work in the human body also"
