A Wellesley University professor has recently released a study paper that is making waves. In the 1940s, the United States Government sponsored study on sexually transmitted infections in Guatemala. These studies infected subjects with syphilis and gonorrhea without their knowledge. Those that were infected and their descendants have now
sued the United States government for compensation.
