Especially on point for people who have Lugol's at hand and no access to potassium iodide, and want more iodide than the Lugol's provides. Lugol's 2% provides 1.5 mg iodiDe per drop, in addition to iodiNe. The recommended anti-radiation dose of potassium iodide is 130 mg daily, which is approximately 100 mg iodiDe and 30 mg potassium. To achieve 100 mg iodiDe would take 67 drops of Lugol's 2% in water. Instead, consider taking 40 drops in oj, so the whole 2.5 mg iodine/iodide is iodide.
