The stings - which I assume are different ones, not just pictures of the same thing - which have what look like snakes head at the end seem to me to maybe be tapeworms. It would seem awfully coincidental for you to be passing strings that are just mucous if they are often having that same kind of "head" to them at one end.

You might want to google pictures of tapeworms, though there are so many in so many different stages. CZ has a photo gallery of bad guyz.
