I started with the Jack LaLaine also and used it often. The carrot juice would immediately turn green after juicing because of the oxidation. It would never taste as good as the store bought and my wife and kids wouldn't touch it.

When I bought the Omega 8003 my wife and kids would start drinking juice because it actually tasted good. Why spend all the money on organic veggies to get inferior juice? What would make someone prefer that?

As far as ease of use, the Omega was much faster and easier to assemble and take apart. So I'll often use it twice a day which would be too much of a chore with the Jack LaLane.

I liked the Jack LaLane also because I didn't realize the improvement in juice taste and quality I'd get with a masticating juicer. But that doesn't mean I'd ever recommend one knowing what I know now.
