...Or do you sprout it?
Hippity-hopping, the way I do, I haven't gotten in much 'home-making' in the past year, and setting up a sprouting drainage rack is one of the things I haven't gotten to. Gloom.
Many of the things I could use are deep in storage. But, I do have the gridded lids which fit wide-mouth mason jars.
If I use the dish-drainer rack, in the second sink, I get in dh's way with the dishes. (He is so regular, several times per day.)
Cooked quinoa, with butter/coconut oil, really sticks to my ribs...and I just noticed that I am 5 lbs. heavier, rather than down some more as I expected. Rats!
I must get more serious about this. I had thought I could just rely on my 'instincts'.
I have a feeling the economy will be very iffy this spring, and, being as how we number among the poor, I had thought to regulate our food, anyway, so sticking to a food plan is the only way to go.
Eating 'instinct' hasn't done me a lot of good lately. A friend who 'knows' did suggest that I 'rebuild', rather than 'cleanse' for a while. I thought she was absolutely right, so the 'instinctive' eating. Dh keeps me well supplied with goodies.
But, that good portion of quinoa, cooked, would have me waddling, in no time. I love it, but I better not.
Does any of this sound familiar?
