I have been where you are. Get to a qualified NP or Doc specializing in bio-identical hormone replacement. Have your hormones including thyroid, tested with saliva tests, as this checks the tissue levels, not the blood levels, and give a more accurate reading. You sound hypothyroid, possibly Iodine deficient, and hormonally unbalanced, possibly the adrenals.

I was miserable and never slept, no herbal remedies helped and the docs wanted to put me on sleeping pills and Zoloft. nope. I felt so depressed and so low sometimes as if I was in a hole. Not like me at all. I got lucky and found a brilliant NP specializing in anti-aging and hormone replacement. She discovered my imbalances and I am now slowly recovering. It is not a quick fix, but a healthy one. DO NOT take prescription HRT from a GYN. you must take only bio-identicals and you better check to make sure what you are taking. True bio identicals are done through a compounding pharmacy. Strictly for YOU and YOUR levels. Beware of tablets and one-size fits- all remedies given out by some doctors from Big Pharma.

Read about hormones: google Dr Brownstein and read Suzanne Sommers books. She has alot of info in her books, even though she may be a bit over the top for some people, she still has great info and you can check it all out yourself from the index and bibliographies.

I am still fighting some things, but I am better. Keep at it. You can do it.
