:) I wasn't talking necessarily instant healing here. I've just seen some people go through tons of chemo, radiation, etc. and be barely hanging on by a thread, and then they live and end up doing fine.
To me, that is God's mercy pulling them through because a lot don't make it through that. Even if it's that God gave those people that make it through stronger constitutions than the other people that don't make it through, it's still His healing in that he made those people's bodies better able to deal and heal better, and He did that so they would live longer, since He is the one that numbers our days.
So along those lines, is more what I meant. But I know of course He can instantly heal too, and no doubt often does, even if people haven't done what they needed to be doing.
Yes, testing the Lord is certainly not good. But I don't know if it's testing the Lord if it's done in ignorance. I really don't think people know the drugs aren't good for them. They think they are, or they at least think they are the means to getting better. People going through radiation and chemo for example really think it's going to be their road to healing, or at least it's their best option, or they wouldn't go through that hell. They think it's their responsibility and the right thing to do to fight cancer that way or fight whatever they have with the drugs. I'm sure they are not thinking and saying "Look God, I'm going to suck down these poisons even though you would be against it, so what you gonna do now?"
But that certainly doesn't mean there won't be consequences. God still lets us suffer in our ignorance. But the good thing too, is no matter what, whether we are being ignorant or not, we still die the day He's picked out for us to and He has still ordained all of our days, including the suffering. That is a comforting thought to me because I know I probably still do a lot of ignorant stuff, not meaning too, not meaning to test God, but I just know I probably do.
