Excellent article, very informative, although I disagree with this one statement:

"The cognitive deficits of chronic fatigue patients are often characterized as "brain fog,"49 and investigators have found a general slowing down of brain functions.50 For patients to complain of rushing, frantic thought processes is an anomaly that can complicate the diagnosis of chronic fatigue, unless its role as a tipoff of possible high copper is recognized."

Brain fog in Chronic-Fatigue-Syndrome patients like myself are due in fact to the racing, overstimulated amygdala, which makes concentration difficult, if not sometimes impossible.

It's certainly not due to a 'slowing down' of brain function. "Wired by tired" is the precise description the majority of Chronic-Fatigue-Syndrome patients use to describe this, compared to depressed patients, who's brain function is indeed, often slowed down...hence they sleep all day. Chronic-Fatigue-Syndrome patients WANT to sleep, but in the vast majority of cases, cannot, because of this racing, overactive, mind.
