"The cercaria are relative large, the metacercaria are small"

that's contrary to what i've read.
for instance :
http://medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/cercaria

they are said to be small enough to burrow through the skin and shed their tail upon entering a human or settling in the sub cutaneous tissue. they then begin a new stage of developement that doesn't include a tail. when they burrow through the intestinal wall, they are small enough to enter the blood stream and also small enough to travel on a snail. they are an early stage of the fluke.

i cannot emphasize enough: the worms i am passing are up 24 inches long. fully mature with a tail. it is not a larval stage, small enough to travel on a snail, or small enough to travel through the blood stream. they are long since past their larval stage.
