Thanks for all the info. I will definitely look into some of the things you mentioned. I have IgA nephropathy and am slowly getting closer to needing dialysis. I've done a tremendous amount of reading about kidney disease and one of the most promising things I've found is eliminating grains. I'm convinced that not eating any grains helps me. The problem is I can't stay on the diet for very long. I just don't have the willpower, like smokers knowing it will kill them but can't stop. The longest I was able to stay on the diet so far was 2 months, and my lab results improved a lot. My creatinine even went down a little. But, I was also taking mms at the same time, so I'm not sure if that had something to do with it. Have you done any reading about grain molds? I found a study where they were inducing IgA neprhopathy in mice using a common mold in grains. I've also read some very interesting books about problems with grains, Going Against the Grain was the best one. But also just searching on kidney disease and grains. I'd love to know what you think about this.
