If you are making your own IF#2, and you choose not to use apple pectin, what you would want to do to make sure you get enough pectin is to add powdered/dried organic apples...and I have no way of knowing how much dried apple powder would substitute for two parts of apple pectin (and then I have no idea how much "one dose" would be).

I understand your concern with the pectin being an isolate. On the other hand there may be a place where this concern is so tiny as to be unwarranted...or perhaps it's not warranted at all. Here's why:

There are 17 "parts" in a batch of IF#2. Two of those parts are apple pectin. That means in every heaping teaspoon you would be getting 2/17 of a heaping teaspoon...or appromiately 1/8 of a teaspoon in each dose, for a total of about 5/8 of a teaspoon daily.

When we're talking something like ES for liver flush, we're talking about 4 Tablespoons in 24 hours...that is almost 20 TIMES that much. And we're talking about a part of the apple that it doesn't take a laboratory to create (people have been 'cooking down apples' for pectin to put into jams & jellies for centuries.

If you want to concern yourself with this and try to figure out the correct ratio to create a product that is as effective as Dr. Schulze s, I have no problem with that. But I can't be of any help.

Honestly, I've never heard of an "adverse reaction' from ingesting 1/8 teaspoon of apple pectin (or from 5/8 teaspoon daily, or from any reasonable amount daily).

Dr. Schulze designed this cleanse to be not only 100% effective, but also 100% safe and non-compromising for people who were so sick they only had days to live before they died. I think if we question that empirical evidence "on technicalities" as small as this one, most reasonable people would consider it 'obsessive/compulsive'.

'Hope that makes good sense :)

Blessings always -
