BnDnOn,
I'm a pharmacologist. I studied 3 years of pharmacy in Toulouse, France but unfortunately I didn't finish it because I came to Canada to study pharmacology. I might have to return to France to finish my course of pharmacy.
The reason I might study pharmacy is because now that I'm sick I know how important to have a pharmacist license. I tried to get Naltrexon as some studies show that it activates the immune system against diseases like IBS, croh, ect ( which means this diseases are caused by pathogens) but the doctors I saw wouldn't prescribe it for me.
I think in the USA it's easy to get Naltrexon as it's approved for autoimmune diseases by the FDA.
Did you try Yucca saponins? the saponins in yucca seem to act as sulfactants that dissolve the membranes of the protozoa and lysing them.
Vitamine K3 seems to cause oxydative damage in some protozoa like Giardia. It might work against DF.
But remember that the key in fighting these protozoans is the immune system. There is an article about mice fed lypopeptidophosphoglucan cleared the infection by entamoeba.histolytica.
Butea monosperma also seems to activate the macrophage against giardia.
