I used pau d'arco in the past for systemic candida with success, but found the tincture to be useless. I had much better success with taking 1/4 cup of the herb steeped in 1 quart of boiling water until cooled then drank the mixture throughout the day. After 3 weeks on that mixture, I switched to marshmallow root to help repair intestinal damage.

One thing you should be aware of is that pau d'arco effects your blood clotting ability. Personally, I would not take tea tree internally, although I have used it vaginally.

If you have trouble finding pau d'arco (Mountain Rose Herbs is a good source), monardo works as well (sweet leaf or bee balm).
