I also read about these two. You do need to keep in mind that neither one of these two were on a water only fast. Olivia was taking supplements and the one who went for a year under a doctor's supervision was also given things. I can't remember exactly what it was, but I think it was also supplements. Both types of fasts sound very unhealthy to me. I am not God so if God really tells someone to do something I am all for it. People also think I have not heard from God at times when I know I have, so I know how that goes. I also know that sometimes people do not hear from God clearly and can get confused about what He is saying or even imagine that He is speaking when it is actually coming from their own minds. I have also gone through this. We are human. I find it is much easier to hear God clearly during and after water fasting. If you are going to go this long, I would recommend another type of fast like juice. Dick Gregory did a two year fruit juice fast.

I also read his book about it a long time ago. It was so long ago that I do not even remember the name of the book which I had borrowed from a friend.
