I did the rectal swab before on the advice of a doctor and it showed giardia and blastocystis. That's the only reason really. Badbugs.org has a small section on rectal swabswith a few saying that was theonly method that picked up their protozoa.

I"m not sure how they do fungal and bacteria. Maybe I'll call them Monday.
