Hi,
I wanted to share this with all you that have Seborrhea. I had it when I turned about 30, and I'm now 35. It was on the middle third of my face and my eyebrows and forehead.

I was in a high-stress job and in a cold climate, with average diet.

I decided to visit a GP and they prescribed a topical steroid which masked the condition temporarily but absolutely thinned my skin and did a lot more damage! So I saw a naturopath and had tolerance testing and realised I had low tolerance to wheat, soy, dairy, Sugar and a few other things. I became a personal trainer and yoga teacher to teach myself nutrition and wellness and I removed all soaps and now only shower with Dr Bronners Oil (for washing) and only use Coconut Oil (on face and entire body.) I get a good share of sunshine and I ensure stress is low through yoga/exercise. I eat organic foods and I avoid Sugar and dairy completely.

What caused the sebhorrea originally? Who really knows. I suspect it was stress and dairy. I've learnt a lot about nutrition and I certainly know that a high alkaline diet helps with a lot of things.

So - I just wanted to share this with anyone that is interested, as I know what you're going through. I thought I was a freak and that everyone must be staring at me. Once I managed to beat it, I realised that noone even noticed much, and if they did, they didn't care. I was still me.

Good luck, and find a good naturopath. And educate yourself on nutrition. Avoid western medicine!
