Damn thats a big setback. The kind of reason why I do NOT want to try chelation but at this point I might have to try it a little. I know oral DMSA causes yeast, I've read that many times. I wonder how the cream will work. Did you take a challenge test before you chelated?
My doc uses transdermal DMSA and/or IV DMPS and does well with the IV DMPS. He uses low doses and recovered his own son from autism. I'm not sure how it relates to the gut though and whether it would help or hurt it. He says he's worried about reabsorption through the leaky gut but in terms of yeast flares, he hasn't said anything.

does chelating with ALA have the same effects on you?? ALA is generally good for the body so i would like to supplement with it if it wasn't for the chelating effects of it and the side effects.
