Do your teeth bleed when you brush them?
Still , i remember watching a show called 'Extreme eaters' about people who had a very limited diet.One guy ate only potato crisps and had done that for 40 years and he never developed scurvy.

There is enough vit c , even in cooked vegetables , to ward off scurvy.
