I have a friend that lives in Bahrain, and he says that it is unlikely the monarchy will be overthrown, many people in Bahrain actually really like the King, and have a great respect for him.

It is complicated, and the whole region will be interesting to watch over the next few weeks. I wonder if all these protests will lead to lasting change in the region, a more democratic region, or a more unstable region.
