Your question opens up a wide ranging topic. Some chelators which people discuss include DMSA, ALA, DMPS, cilantro and chlorella and EDTA.
Please note chlorella needs to work with other chelators. It helps, but it doesn't remove metals by itself. EDTA is somewhat controversial and doesn't work for removing mercury (which is one of the most common metals people have in their bodies).
First, if you want to chelate, make sure you don't have silver fillings. Silver fillings are 50-60% mercury (which is constantly flaking off into a person's body) and must be replaced if you want to get rid of heavy metals from your body. Chelating while you have silver fillings in is very dangerous.
A test to see what kinds of metals you have in your body would be a good idea if you suspect the presence of heavy metals. You should find out the best kind of test though since some are, by reputation, more likely to give false negatives than others.
I recommend the Cutler Protocol (DMSA taken every 4 hours, including overnight. After a few months of taking DMSA alone, ALA is taken with DMSA every 3 hours). I can give you more information if you're interested.
I recommend finding out as much as you can about chelating and heavy metals before you start any program. Be careful what you believe, of course.
