Hi Tizona ~~ You are absolutely right...it must be Pure gum spirits of turpentine. But even the other link (baar.com)that I posted is wrong because that one says *rectified* and it can't be rectified according to what people say on the Yahoo Group. (they are the ones using it successfully.)

I posted all those different options when I thought we'd all be needing a substitute of some kind due to lack of availabilty and totally got ahead of myself. Sorry for any confusion!!!

Still not sure if this is what I'm getting though...have to read more.

Apparently some people in the Yahoo group are just marching into Home Depot and getting Pure gum spirits in a can right there...bless their hearts!
