Potatoes have carbs which feed the yeast. I would avoid almonds as well. The reason is that nuts attract mold. I don't know what's in your sunflower butter, but if it has real butter, then it has real milk Sugar too. Fruits, generally, have Sugar too which makes them off limits as well. I've heard people say lemons, grapefruit and cranberries are OK, but there's some debate about that.
If there are foods you're not sure about, be very strict for a few months and then try them one at a time later and see how you react. Keep in mind that complex carbohydrates likely won't cause an immediate reaction, but you will feel it hours later if you react.
Following a strict diet is essential. I'm afraid the diet doesn't allow for the occasional breaking of it. If you do break the diet, then you will undermine any other anti-yeast program you are doing. At least, this is true for the first few months of the diet (and maybe longer).
There are a fair number of people who do not follow the diet very strictly, and there are a lot of people who fail to control their yeast as well.
The only people I know who controlled their yeast without doing the diet were people who chelated heavy metals out of their bodies. They said their yeast problems went away soon after.
