It seems that people who have heavy metal and/or yeast problems are divided roughly into 2 groups (please forgive the overgeneralization).

There are the people who never get regular colds and flus. They just feel some worsening of their usual yeast symptoms.

The second group seems to get colds and flus frequently.

I'm guessing that the reason is that the presence of yeast/heavy metals causes our immune system to go into overdrive in an ultimately futile effort to fight these things (futile without help from us, that is). In the first group, the immune system is still overactive, perhaps even to the extent that their own immune system damages their body, like lupus. Regular colds and flus have trouble taking root in such a hyperactive system.

In the second group, on the other hand, their immune systems can't handle the constant stress of fighting yeast/heavy metals, so their systems weaken and can't stop the common, regular illnesses as well.

The reason I brought this up is because for the last decade or so, I was in the first group. I never got regular colds and flus. Now, I'm feeling better because of yeast and heavy metal treatment, and I just got the flu. Should I consider this to be progress in my quest to be free of my yeast/heavy metal problem? Is my immune system relaxing enough that I can get regular colds and flus?

Of course, I would hate to think it's a sign that my immune system is weakening. I imagine I would be feeling worse if that were the case.

This is all guesswork though. Any opinions about this based upon your own experiences and/or research?
