Wow, many thanks for all the great info in your posts, chiron! You've certainly encouraged me to try more EFT. I probably gave up on that too easily.
I did notice your very long post on the EFT forum. I knew it was for me and really appreciate the help, but I have to admit, it was very confusing. I think I got a couple of your main points though: try many different phrases if one doesn't work, and use simpler phrases that are more relevant to whatever emotion you're currently feeling.
I've heard about the liver storing anger and tried some liver flushes, coffee enemas, and Schulze's liver detox. Never released any stones or felt any benefits or even detox reactions, but I did get rid of a lot of things that Hulda Clark identified as parasites: rolled-up tomato skins and little sticks. Gave me a little sense of accomplishment, I guess. Your story about experiencing and then releasing trauma and anger during the flush is an amazing testimony that I've never heard before. That's great evidence for the liver-anger theory. Maybe I needed to keep trying them.
"It does not always come easy, because with PTSD, the self-defense patterns are so deeply embedded and confused that parts of the ego see any sign of help as a threat of ultimate annihilation."
Well, I know that the biggest thing that makes it difficult to address emotional scars is the fact that I'm required to think about them, which is really painful.
After reading your description of silent Ho'oponopono, I realized that I've practiced that with some people, and it makes me feel less resentful. It would be a big challenge to try that with serious hatred, though.
The relief that EFT gave me for those few hours almost made me feel like I was reborn. Very light and emotionally free. I really hope I can achieve that again. Thanks again for the advice, chiron.
