I live in a townhome that I signed a lease for at the end of December 2010, signed it for a year. I am down here in Georgia and we did have some snow and bad ice, after that I had a leak come down from the upstairs bedroom all the way in the ceiling in my livingroom downstairs. They came and fixed it the next day, well the leak. Anyway I had my daughters toddler mattress just laying next to the wall by the window, and I was cleaning up really good, and moved the mattress and their was black mold on the baseboard and then pink mold on the carpet and black. Then I started looking around the window and their were cracks in the paint and then at the end of the window water damage, and water damage leading to the baseboard. I called the apartment place and told them and they came out, didn't really do much. lifted up the carpet and their was no mold and they sprayed idk what it was on the baseboard and cleaned it off. Sprayed some stuff on the carpet but didn't really clean it. I mean now im wondering if their is mold in the wall, which i know can be very possible. But I mean basically apartment management is not going to care if i just think there is mold in the wall. They are not going to come cut the wall open unless its all over the wall. I don't see anymore, they are suppose to be putting new roofs on all of the apartment buildings soon. I did take pictures before they came, but I also took it upon myself to clean the mold on the carpet because to me they did not do anything right about it. It is very humid upstairs. What is everyone's advice? Should I only be concerned if it keeps coming back? What should I get? I mean I am stuck here!!!
