Yeah, its a sad thing when people refuse to look at anything new. Many great inventions, theories and ideas, are dismissed because of self interest, or a need for things to remain the same, for financial interests. Look at burning coal for the production of energy, it is a highly polluting process, which endangers the health of everyone on the planet, but it is very hard to get people to see this. The oil and coal companies put out so much disinformation about the damage these products do to our planet, and people believe them, because it suits their own interests.

In health, the story is much the same, drug companies put out disinformation and even outright lies, and people believe them, without looking into who benefits financially from the production and sale of these drugs.

Alternative medicine is not immune to this either, sadly. There are many products, or protocols, that simply do not work, but are pushed to people, because of financial benefit to the sellers, or even ego stroking for the inventors.

I guess its up to each of us to look at all issues and ideas, use critical thinking, and our own research and knowledge, to discern what is worthwhile, and what is disinformation.
