I worked in a hospital lab for a number of years and analyzed probably thousands of urine samples! Never saw anything like this in a urine sample. Maybe I should clarify a little... I never saw a crystal "birthing" a fiber. Fibers can be seen in urine samples for a number of reasons - they're usually contaminants from either clothing or toilet paper or sometimes a fine hair.
