I found this as I looked into bromide; side effect of a bromide medication; "Ipratropium Bromide"
(I had several of these symptoms, and seen all of them reported when forum members take Iodine that displase Bromide;)

"Nausea, Dry Mouth and Metallic Taste
Ipratropium bromide has the potential to cause nausea, dry mouth, and metallic taste in users. According "Pharmacotherapy: A Pathophysiologic Approach," these side effects are the most frequent patient complaints. They occur in about 5 percent of individuals on the drug. If they become bothersome, the patient should inform a health care professional.

Shortness of Breath
Ipratropium bromide may cause shortness of breath in users. According to the "Drug Information Handbook," about 10 percent of individuals may develop this undesired side effect. The patient should report incidents of shortness of breath to a physician. If the effect worsens, the patient should seek medical help immediately.

Cough
Individuals on ipratropium bromide may develop a cough. If the cough is accompanied by signs of infection, the patient should seek medical help. Otherwise, the cough is not harmful and not a reason to worry. The patient may inform his health care provider and discuss other options if the cough becomes persistent or worsens.

Nose Bleeds and Nasal Dryness
Nose bleeds may develop with the use of ipratropium bromide. Up to 8 percent of patients may develop nose bleeds. Nasal dryness and nasal irritation may also occur in up to 5 percent of patients, reports the "Drug Information Handbook." Typically, it occurs with the nasal spray, but can be seen with the other formulations, as well. If these side effects become persistent, inform a health care provider as soon as possible. An alternative medication may help alleviate these side effects.
