Grab a big cup of espresso to stay awake ~ this is gonna be a long post!
Sounds like the skin rash your hubby is suffering from is caused by a combination of things:
(1) Herx reaction by the immune system to toxins released by parasitic die-off. Follow these tips for relief, especially lotsa fluids, lemon water or lemonade, & Vitamin C: http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1763296#i.
(2) Allergic reaction to cutaneous larva exiting his body in response to meds:
As noted in the Albendazole & Ivermectin protocol (http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1586882#i): ".....So brace yourself if dying parasites & toxins make a mass exodus from every pore & orifice of your body. To quote the poet Dylan Thomas, sometimes these dying beasts 'do not go gentle into that good night'....."
Benadryl Capsules (or store brand Diphenhydramine HCL) will provide relief for his allergic reactions to die-off. Take 1-2 capsules (not tabs), 25mg, every 6-8 hrs. Start those ASAP.
If he's been taking Fenbendazole suspension or paste on off-days of Albendazole, he needs to cease & desist post-haste.
Suggest he stay on the Albendazole & Ivermectin schedule & stop all other vet meds & parasite drugs, topical & oral.
Follow the Ivermectin pulse method for 2 days on, 2 days off throughout treatment.
For Ivermectin added to topical remedies, don't count or deduct it from the daily oral dose. A smaller level of meds is carried by the capillaries to the extremities, skin, soft tissue, head, scalp, etc, versus the larger arteries & veins within the body.
So it's safe to add meds to topical creams & ointments ~ you'd have to bathe in it to reach toxic levels. And it blasts them with barrels blazing on both fronts, external & internal. Remember my motto: Aim high, shoot low, & use big guns!
Topical treatment remedies: http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1750708#i.In this post, I overlooked including some of the items noted below. I'll revise & repost it ~ sooner or later ~ probably later (lol).
Recommend these as the best ones:
~ Parasites detest anything containing menthol, zinc, & sulfur. Check labels for high % of these ingredients in OTC topical products.
~ Diaper rash cream (20-40% zinc oxide). Add Ivermectin suspension or paste. Wal-Mart has a 40% formula in two store/generic brands. Desitin Xtra Strength (tube or jar) also has 40%. Check labels on other brands.
~ Vicks or mentholatum inside the nose, over sinuses, & around eyes. This decongests larval nests in the mucous membranes & eyes.
~ Use a Q-tip & apply Ivermectin horse paste or liquid suspension in each nostril.
~ Saline nasal spray with a several drops of hydrogen peroxide added. Irrigate the sinuses & nasal cavities twice daily. Also use for larva inside the ears ~ tilt head to one side & let it fizz for 1-2 minutes. Gargle with warm water, salt, & hydrogen peroxide after brushing teeth AM/PM.
~ Fine-grind sea salt or table salt: Soak a cotton ball in warm water w/pinch of salt. Dab over closed eyes, eyelids, & lashes. It's the equivalent of pouring salt on snails to kill them. This may burn, but it sure knocks the socks off the larva (hee hee).
~ Add sea/table/epson salts to liquid bath soap or pour on washrag lathered with antibacterial bar soap & scrub body & scalp.
~ After bathing, add 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar to large cup of warm water & pour over head & body as a final rinse while standing up. You'll smell like a dill pickle, but the beasts loathe it & it removes all traces of them on the skin.
~ Allergy or redness-reliever eye drops (any brand). Use daily.
~ Menthol nasal decongestant spray. The best brand is 4-Way Menthol, mfgd by Novartis, w/1% Phenylephrine Hydrochloride. The regular formula doesn't contain menthol & isn't as effective. It's hard to find at drugstores, & most only carry the 1/2 oz size. When at Wal-Mart, I buy every 1 oz bottle on the shelf to stock up for seasonal sinus/nasal allergies (lol).
~ Sulfur ointment & bath soap bars. Wal-Mart stocks Sulfur8 2% ointment in the afro/ethnic personal care dept for about $6. The DeLaCruz 10% Sulfur ointment is better but hard to find. On rare occasions, Wal-Mart has it. Check online stores & E-Bay search links in the remedies list for sulfur ointments & soaps.
~ Icy Hot rollup stick, cream, or jar (not the gel or spray). If hubby has been scratching the rash, this will sting & burn. But it gives great itch relief & reduces inflammation due to the high % of menthol & methyl salicylate.
~ Tea Tree or Aloe Vera oil, cream, gel, & liquid soap. Wal-Mart sells a 28oz pump bottle of Tea Tree soap (Body Essence brand) for under $5. Add Iver to the gels & creams.
~ Make a poultice paste with baking soda, epson salts, Iver, & warm water. Spread on small pieces of surgical gauze or cheesecloth. Apply to affected area, cover with plastic food wrap or large bandages, & use strips of tape to seal in moisture. This draws out toxins, kills the beasts, & soothes the itch.
~ Add liquid laundry detergent w/bleach alternative (any brand), at 50/50 rate, to liquid soap & dandruf shampoo (w/zinc pyrithione). This strips the parasite biofilm coating on the skin & scalp. (Thanx to Getout for posting this detergent tip recently ~ I've used this but forgot to include it on the original list!)
~ Last but not least: Dimethyl Sulfoxide (DMSO) roll-on, liquid, or cream. A super "carrier" for deep penetration of creams & parasite meds into skin & soft tissue. It's a horse liniment used for decades by horse owners, athletes, & arthritis sufferers. When Big Pharma & FDA found out people were using it for muscle, skin, & joint pain relief & as a meds carrier, thus cutting out the need to beg a doctor & pay $$ for Rx pain meds, it was banned for sale as an OTC human-use product in drugstores!#? Available at online vet suppliers, E-Bay, & local livestock feed/supply stores. Best of all, it's cheap & no Rx required!
Hope this info helps your hubby. Got my fingers crossed for good luck!
