I agree Cisco, the Earth will heal, in time, but the destruction of the forests, the pollution of every habitat, will destroy many of the animals that live there, and rely on the Earth for their homes, food, life. There have already been many extinctions of our fellow beings, at human hands, how many more will there be, before people stop this wanton destruction of our planet.

We will be the cause of our own destruction, just as we are the cause of the poisoning of ourselves.

Even without changes to the climate, we have caused massive problems, for ourselves, health problems, that lead to early death. This is just from the pollution spewed out from power stations, the burning of fossil fuels, chemical contamination of everything, water, air , soil. This has been done in a very short time, geologically speaking.

Yep, the Earth will survive, the universe will seek a balance, but it will be humans that get wiped out in the process.
