Thanks Tony. I can't tell you with 100% certainty where the main problem with caffeine lies. Certainly some is the liver. I have had stomach issues in the past, but the serious ones were many years ago (I almost died of a bleeding ulcer at 19 months. I had emergency surgery and they did a bunch of cutting in there, but it was 1969 and I question if they know the whole story of what was really going on. And those stomach problems persisted for ten years). And some of the ones I feel now I think may be tied to the liver.

Anyway, what I do know is that my liver doesn't detoxify properly. It is mainly genetic, but it has gotten worse as times goes on and I am exposed to more nasty things. My kinesiologist has been able to muscle test some of them, but they don't show up on a normal liver panel. Ten years ago I spent a lot of time staining my house with polyeurothane and it didn't affect me. Now I would probably feel it within 30 seconds. I guess my concern is that I am a little gunshy to put a big dose of caffeine directly in my liver. And hope that it can handle, and that it also all comes out and doesn't recirculate. I can feel the effects of a single coke, but whether the big thing is the caffeine, sugar, artificial coloring/flavors etc. Well who knows. I have heard people rave about it, I just don't know if in my case I want to risk it. Doesn't sound like there have been any horror stories, but taking a relatively small amount of aspirin over a few years has done more to worsen my health then anything. It just about fried my liver.
