Definitely, though sometimes I think that when people present their concept of a prophecy it dilutes its full meaning.

I try to see things in scripture deeper within the spiritual or literal understanding from a macrocosm to a microcosm. From short time interval to a vast time interval. Perhaps at one point the falling star could be an meteor...

And at another time it could be Lucifer(Venus...a star) falling from the heavens....

"How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! [how] art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!"Isaiah 14:12

And making the water bitter... that could in fact be the chlorine and fluoride already in our water, and killing millions. Only on a much longer time scale... In other words the star could have, might and already did fall.

One thing I know for sure is that when Jesus was born many people did not believe he was the son of God because they already had preconceived notions about the Messiah. No doubt it will be the same in our time people will not necessarily understand Jesus' return.

What if the rapture doesn't happen the way that people think it will? They will keep waiting for the rapture yet it already passed. The rest of the prophecy following the rapture would also have to be rejected, because the rapture was never perceived as being completed. Much like how some Jews never believed Jesus was the Son of God.
