Hi, I can totally relate to what you are going thru.
I have been dealing with Thyroid issues for over 12 years now = its not fun. I too dislike the thought of synthroid & medicine the rest of my life - however having Hashimotos & now recently diagnosed with "atypical" cells & nodules, I have Dr.s wanting to remove my thryoid gland. They said the "odds" of it being cancerous are 50/50 (ok) ... but I have been doing my own research & trying to take the holistic route. I have alot of "symptoms" of low/hypothyroid, weight issues, hair loss, cold/numb fingers & toes, dry skin, fatigue, brain fog, sweating, etc... however my most recent blood work came back "ok". Go figure - I still feel tired. Who really knows what the long term side effects of the meds?
Last year I went off my meds cold turkey & went on a high raw diet (fruits & veggies only - no cooked food). I started to feel much better, was able to lose weight (slowly), and my hairdresser noticed that my hair looked like it was starting to grow back. However, I slowly fell off the raw diet & all my symptoms came back even worse. I have been taking alot of natural supplements, vitamins, MSM, etc... anything to help. From what I have read, they say any type of immune disease is a result/reaction to something - whether it be a "stress" to the body, an exposure to a radiation, x-ray, mercury, toxic/chemical things, etc... the list goes on.
But, I am on a mission - I know I am not alone & would love to find a "cure" for this thing for once & for all.
PS. I am here if you need to talk ; )
