Hi everyone. I have a couple of questions about hashimotos.
Im 18 years old, iwas diagnosed with Hashimotos a couple years ago. My recent blood test has shown that i have elevated t4 levels, which believe are not being converted to T3, also my thyroid is quite swollen and i can feel it when I swallow. I've visited several doctors, all with different opinions. One doctor diagnosed me with low adrenal function, which i understand is common with Hashimotos, i put me on a vitamin regimen (including cortisol cream). That was about a year ago, and right now we are scheduling to go back to this doctor, who was a great improvement over the conventional doctor we visited who offered no real advice or support.

Ok, well ive been browsing this forum and looking and the Hashimotos related posts, and i wanted to ask specific questions. Some people were discussing Liver Flushes etc. as a treatment, does anyone have more information/tips they can give me. Ive been pretty active with nutrition/health food but i tend to eat foods that i deem healthy, and not make a real balanced diet out of it (like food combining or paying attention to fat/protein/carb content). Also, ive been pushed to go on synthriod, but i absolutely hate the idea of being on medication longterm, and relying on drugs if there are other options (I really dont believe that sythriod could somehow cure/put me in remission like some people tell me). I just feel so overwhemed by this disorder and really don't take an active role in healing myself, I kind of resign to my mom to crusade for me. I want to do more for myself but I have a hard time finding information. I would really like any advice or expierences anyone has on anything that worked for them. I am young and I believe that i can cure/heal myself to a certain extent. I also regret swimming in the hudson river when i was younger, i believe that was a serious mistake on my part.

And one last thing- for a long time, since i hit puberty around 12 years old, Ive had weird sweating issues. for a while i thought i had a sweating disorder but now im hoping its more thyriod related. Some days i will just start sweating all the sudden, im not hot or nervous, there is no real cause, and wont stop. It makes me really self concious. And then for days at a time, the problem will be gone, everything normal. I was wondering if anyone else had sweating issues.

any advice/help would be greatly appreciated.
